Abstract Submission Guidelines

This Unclassified workshop is for U.S. government funded researchers from academia, industry, and government.

Please e-mail your unclassified two-page (~1,000 words) abstract to: hpec@ll.mit.edu

Your abstract will be evaluated by a subset of the HPEC Technical Committee, which is made up of U.S. Citizens.

By submitting an abstract you are certifying that you have followed your organization's release review guidelines for submitting to unclassified workshops. Abstracts with graphical/quantitative information are encouraged, so please attach your abstract (MS-Word format) to your e-mail message. When naming your abstract file, please use the following naming convention: lastname_firstname.doc. If you are submitting more than one abstract, use a numeral to indicate that it is your second, third submission, etc. (Ex: lastname_firstname2.doc; lastname_firstname3.doc; etc.).

For your convenience, this MS-Word template is available that includes built-in styles.

IMPORTANT: Please include the following information in your e-mail message. Attach your abstract to your email message as a Word document, following the guidelines set forth in the Abstract Preparation Guide .

  1. Title of Paper
  2. For each individual author provide:

    • Salutation (Dr., Prof., Mr., Ms., etc.)
    • Full Name * Organization
    • Mail Address
    • Phone and Fax
    • Email Address
    • Country of Citizenship

  3. Indicate first author, corresponding author, and presenting author
  4. Indicate if you are submitting for the U.S. Only session
  5. Indicate if you prefer a poster over a talk. (Posters are recommended if you have significant hardware or demos you would like to present.)
  6. Indicate the areas your work addresses. Please choose up to three from the following:

    • Automated Design Tools
    • Advanced Middleware and Software Technology
    • Mapping and Scheduling of Parallel and Real-Time Applications
    • Case Studies and Benchmarking of HPEC Applications
    • Signal Processing Techniques
    • Computing Technologies for Challenging Form Factors
    • ASIC and FPGA Advances
    • Parallel and Distributed System Architectures
    • Networking and Interconnects
    • Fault-Tolerant Computing
    • Digital Front-Ends
    • Technology Trends
